|  Please Help I need help.....  I'm having a hard time trying to get a place to stay on vacation that is pet friendly. I'm not really sure wher to look. I've been on VRBO and there are not that many pet friendly. I was looking in the Alabama Gulf, not really having any luck.  How do I find places that are pet friendly????  Thanks to anyone who can help. Cindy |

| Here are a couple of links I have used in the past. Pet Friendly Hotels - Official Pet Hotels Dog Friendly Hotels petswelcome.com Expedia also has pet friendly hotels on their site. Make sure you call the hotel directly before booking online to verify. Good Luck

| go to gulfshores.com and to meyers real estate in Gulf Shores(I use them all the time) and they offer pet friendly places...... some are pricey but they are there! Good Luck! here is the link to Meyers.... I am on their mailing list..... Gulf Shores Alabama Vacation Rentals - Orange Beach Condos and Beach Houses they offer very nice places at Meyer!

| I know some bed & breakfast are pet friendly. They let you keep your baby in your room and some have fenced in areas to play and potty. Google bed and breakfast in the city you plan to stay. They are much safer then having your baby in a hotel anyway.

| A couple of tips for staying in a pet friendly hotel ... especially if your baby is young. Look at the room before you accept it. You would be surprised at the stinky, dirty rooms they will designate "pet rooms". We have been given rooms that we absolutely would not let Toto put her paws on the floor! We never stay at cheaper hotels either! I suppose they assume that all pet owners are the same. Evidently they have never had Yorkie owners stay at their hotel!  Patrick has absolutely no qualms about returning a key and telling them very politely that we simply cannot allow our dog to stay in the room. You have that right ... don't be shy! Another thing, before you ever let that baby loose in a hotel room ... go over the floor with a "fine toothed comb". You can't even imagine the things we have found on the foor that the bedspread conceals ... chips, candy [yes, even chocolate], buttons, paperclips, etc. Toto taught us about this the first time she was running around her first hotel room with a Frito in her little mouth!! If it hadn't scared us so badly, it would have been funny! She was only about 18 wks. old and only weighed about 1.5 lbs.!  I hope you have a wonderful, safe vacation! Keep a little bowl and a bottle of water in your bag at all times.
