| My Bailey is a year old now - and I think the adjustment is a lot of different things - they learn the rules as they get older, they learn a routine as well, you learn a routine, you get used to their energy and yes they do calm down some. I was afraid Bailey would not sleep in my lap. She always went to the foot of my recliner - instead of my lap. I thought she was going to be an independent little thing. Then around 7 months - she started crawling into my lap. And that is where you will now find her every evening from 8:30 to 10:30 - unless someone gets up to get a snack out of the kitchen!

| I would say, yes, they calm down. Kaba has always been pretty chill but she has calmed down some as she gets older (shes 8 months now). Though a lot of it might be personality. I would make sure you can take them outside or a big area inside and play really hard with them for at least an hour a day and that should wear them out pretty good.

YT Addict | Teddy has calmed down ALOT. At 9 wks, he was one of the busiest and craziest little puppy. He jumped, and ran around ALL DAY LONG. He kept me up at least until 3 to 4am in the morning. All they need is a routine. Once they get into that, they will calm down a lot. Teddy, at a year and 6 months, goes to bed at 10pm with me every night. When I'm on the computer too long, he whines a little to REMIND ME that it's time to go to bed. They will calm down. I promise you that. Just take it all in now, you will miss the puppy stage when its gone.

| Yes, they do calm down. Our Ellie was never very hyper though, but once they are around 9 months old they seem to have outgrown a lot of the puppy stages. Enjoy him while he is feisty, as you will miss it when he does calm down. Ellie's Mom |
