| Would someone please explain... Here's the deal. I don't have skin kids, so maybe I don't understand sibling rivalry. Can someone please explain something to me. I have two Yorkies, Gracie is the older, Holly is the puppy. I can have 3 of the same toy or chew, give them each one (both identical), and 100% of the time Holly will steal the one that Gracie has. She won't just steal Gracie's, she will hoard all of them into a nice little stack all of her own. Is this just rude puppy behavior that she will out grow? Poor Gracie is getting really miffed at her little sister (no acting out but I can tell she is frustrated).

| You might have to step in here, take the toy away from the baby make her sit and give it to the older one and make the pup watch. Do it every time it happens eventually she will learn to share. |

| It'll never work I tell ya! Ask my Beamer.. EVERY toy, and I mean EVERY SINGLE toy is HIS! ALL HIS!! His mouth isn't big enough for all of them, but Lord does he try! Doesn't matter if they are all the same toy, if someone has it, it is BEAMERS and he will go retrieve it. LMAO.. This guy will sit and watch you take a toy and give it back and sit calmly watching.. as soon as you let him go, the toy is MINE!! ALL MINE!!

| Dogs have to establish who is dominant over the other. Dogs hardly ever see each other as equals..there is a social order. Sometimes when we try to treat them like equals and interfere, it causes fights. I would just let them work it out since they aren't fighting now.

| LOL I have the same problem with Abby. NO ONE CAN TOUH HER TOYS EXPECT ME!!! IF any person even dares to touch one of her toys in her presense she will run her mouth off like crazy and go after them and mind you she is all of 3 pounds. She even does it with her friend... a Bullmastiff. When I started noticing it with the other dog I nipped that in the bud ASAP!! It is too dangerous. When I witnessed her doing that I immediately told her to drop it out of her mouth and make her sit and Told Mya (the Bullmastiff) to pick it up and take it. She has since then stopped. But with everyone else she does the same thing so what I do is make her drop it and sit. Its difficult when its in her on territory and she is the only dog I have. I dunno hope that helps... Good luck and when u do find out let me know!!! LOL

| Sadie is still a puppy, 6 months. But she goes at it with chewy all the time! They have turned stealing toys way into a game they both seem to love to play!!! It is funny because Sadie will trot around chewy with her toy to show him she has it... he goes for it and she plays keep away, then when he gets tired of it... she comes back to entice him some more. they get along great so I don't interfere!

YT 1000 Club Member | My boys do that and they are from the same litter. Leo is the smaller one and he is usually the one to hoard the toys , chewwies, you name it he has it. I had to step in a few times because Leo would get very aggressive if Dante tried to get whatever he had. The last time he did it though it was directed towards his mom and I wasn't having that so i took the toys away and ignored him and after that he is sharing without being aggressive. It is easy for me with my furkids because they know when I get a certain tone in my voice they are in deep dodo. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Mine Too!!! Porsche does that too. She is the younger, but she was an only child for 2 years before we adopted Bentley. Poor Bentley is treated like the proverbial red headed stepchild!! only by Porsche. We love him, of course, and try to treat them both equally.

| All 6 bones are sitting in front of Beamer right now.. lol.. There is ONE exception to the rule. Sunnie let him know that he is NOT to touch his bear. Sunnie has slept with his bear every night since he was 5 months old and NO ONE takes his bear. He would never bite them, but he will not let go for anything

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I am not sure how to handle it but here London is the dominant one. If she is busy with a toy and one of them try to take it away from her she goes psycho lol They def. learned not to mess with her when she has something or is eating. Teddy is playful and will try to take a toy away from anyone, its not about a dominant thing with him, its more about playing and running with it or jumping on something high as if to say 'haha you can't get it' lol
