| Flying Leap Into Water Jazzi was busy climbing from one object to another, part mountain goat, and took a flying leap into container of water used to water plants. Never saw such a suprised look on his too cute face, after he surfaced. Thank goodness I was on my, "Mother of a very active furbaby watch" My past career as Lifeguard came in handy. After we were both over the shock, went to bathroom and made sure toliet seat was down, grabbed his shampoo to make the best out of what could have been a bad situation. No more water anywhere.

| Ohmy! I'm picturing one of those horrible old fashioned circus acts where the diver climbs the ladder and dives into a small pool of water! I'm also so glad you were one your "Mother of a very active furbaby watch" to make sure that you ended up with a funny story and a clean pup!!

| Your sense of humor is appreciated I hate to say, you were the only one to reply. Your comments made me laugh. I thought it was a cute story too, and a warning to others, however we must be the only ones. TOO BAD! Thanks

| I just now read this. That reminds me of the very first time tucker dove into the water. i freaked out! We were over at a friends house and Tuck was playing with Marley, a similar sized and aged maltese. Well I wasn't familiar with the back yard and didn't know there was a small drainage canal running through it. I was watching tucker play and run into the distance, racing after Marley and poof he dissapeared. My friend said, jokingly, I hope he knows how to swim. I just barely had gotten him and of course freaked out. I ran over there so fast, but we was treading water and splashing around. Just fine. Looked at me like I was a psycho for being so worried. I guess I have been neglecting the General discussion posts. I've been too focused on the health (neutering) posts.

| Lucky you were on guard and I bet little miss Jazzi was surprised when she surfaced. My Kenji hated a bath but at the same time had severe seperation anxiety, I will never forget the day he jumped into the bathtub to get closer to me. He was shocked too , it was priceless.

| Loved your Water story Really a cute story, since it ended well. We have to have a strong heart to take care of our Yorkies. They really keep us on our toes! I really was a life guard, right out of high school, money for college. Although it was not needed to save Jazzi, knowing him, he would have leaped out, only to dive back in the water.

| My two are always "into" water... Coffee fell in the pool as a baby. I was on puppy watch and got him out. I thought damn, now he will hate the pool... wrong - he loves swimming, look at my avi Do they avoid puddles when it's raining .. no way, straight through them. On day while on a walk, Coco walked into a pond, she thought the slimy green gunk was grass you should have seen her expression. I bathed them yesterday, all clean and shiny, it had been raining all day.. last night they chased a stray cat, right through a bed of thick plants, came in soaking wet, had to blow dry and brush again. I could go on..lol Sheilagh

| Makes me want to buy Jazzi a pool Really enjoyed your story about Coffee. I know it is HOT where you are, and Texas can have some 100+ days too. Just trying to justify a pool. Maybe a wading pool for now. Jazzi will want a high board, for his tricks, flips, etc. I may sign him up for swimming class first. Thanks for your story

| Mercy me!!!! That was an unscheduled bath. What a shock to both of you. I only have one that bounces around like a mountain goat. It's disconcerting at times.

| I have to laugh because it brought back memories of Odie falling in our fish pond when he was about five months old. Took my eyes off him for a second and in he went. Scared us both so in we went for a warm bath.LOL |

| Oh my gosh That would have scared the #$&* out of me. That's ones thing Murfee has never done. He likes to wade in creeks but has never been swimming.
