so i went to the vet a month ago lola needed one more shot.. and they told me she is 2 pds over weight that i needed to do something.. well i took her back 2 weeks later and she gained another pound since nov she has gained 4 pds!! the vet said this isnt likely.. she gets NO treats at all... theres no way shes getting other food its in another room and our other dog feeds in there 2 times a day.. i give her half cup a day and split it up 4 sessions... i dont know what to do can someone help please

wow...my only thought is...do you have anyone else in the house who could be "sneaking" her food or treats?

No one will admit it freely in my house, but if I torture them enough...they do!

Some one is probably sneaking her goodies. Also what are you feeding her?

What are you feeding and has blood work been done?

All I know is that I love to show my love through food - and its tough "not" to give Bailey everything she wants.

That said, weight is very important. Bailey's LP was starting to show until she lost some ounces - now all is fine.
