| New Yorkie Alexus Hi my new female York is called Alexus and was born on the 19th Jan 2008. I have only had her for two days but has breathed life into my household. She does sleep alot but from other owners on your forums this seems to be quite normal. The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that she doesn't want to eat her tried pellets and if she does she vomits. She had her first vaccination three days ago could this be making her stomach upset??? |

I know what you mean. I have only had Rascal for 3 weeks and it has made my life that much more interesting. Rascal is only 1 1/2 lbs @ 10 weeks and has had a few run ins with Hypoglycemia. Now that I understand his condition, I have been able to control it. This weekend he started to gobble up food. He hasn't done that in the past. I think he is a growing little boy. He stays up a lot during the day, but he passes out at night. He is a very good sleeper during the night. You may be able to call the vet and ask them if an upset tummy could be a side effect of the vaccination.

YT 2000 Club Member | Congrats on your new furbaby, they bring such love and joy to families and I can't imagine EVER being without a furbaby. As for the vaccines causing her tummy to be upset, call and speak with your vet about it, it may be a reaction to one of the vaccines. I'd rub some Nutrical or Kayro syrup on the gums to make sure her sugar doesn't bottom out and her get hypoglycemia with her vomiting. Speak with your vet about that. Good luck and welcome to YT!

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | Hello and welcome to YT! Have you told your vet that she is vomitting? Maybe the food you have her on is not agreeing with her? Are you feeding her the same thing the breeder had her on? Best of luck! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Are you saying she's not even 6 weeks old? That's really young. I didn't get Joey till 12 weeks, but I know vomiting is very serious matter in one so young.
