| Do any of you withhold water in p.m.? Ok, I need your opinions. My dog's 3 & 3 1/2 love to get me up at 2:00 a.m. to go potty. The problem is I can't go back to sleep. They lollygag in the yard and take their good old time about coming in. I've never withheld water from them, but can no longer take this sleep deprivation being menopausal and all. I am a zombie at work the next day. Do any of you withhold water. I was thinking of cutting them off at 8:00 p.m. Every time I go to the vet's I forget to ask this question. Please advise, I'm the end of my rope.

| Same here. I withhold water from him around 8pm usually and I only give him a small amount just to make sure. |

| mine are on NV raw diet which has moisture so they don't drink water much. They are done with dinner and water by 7. I usually leave the water out til 8pm but they don't even drink it. I take away the water 2hr before bed time. they don't have to go potty til they wake up at 6:30am.

| During puppy training - the trainer said to take up water 2 hrs before bedtime. I don't 'cause Bailey always sleeps through the night - but I wouldn't hesitate if I had to get up at 2:00 a.m. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | No, but mine don't wake me up at 3:00 to go potty. I'll bet they don't really have to go. I wouldn't withhold water from a puppy, but at their age I see no harm in it. Bet they still want to wake you though. Be firm and say "No" that's why I use pee pads.

| I have never withheld water. Sometimes Murfee gets me up and sometimes he doesn't. Sometimes I think it is just a habit.
