I just let Indiana out and he did the strangest thing! It's the 3rd time I've seen him do this. He pooed in the grass, then very methodically went around it pushing on the grass with his NOSE trying to cover it? Never seen anything like it. I let him go for awhile to see how long he would continue to "cover" it and it went on for a couple minutes til I called him and broke his concentration. Anyone else ever seen their dog do this? It is actually funny, he was very intense about it!! My other dogs kick with their back legs to "cover" theirs.

I was told they do this out of instinct...in the wild they do not want to leave a sense for prey to find them.
My Yorkies willtake a treat and try to bury in in a cushion or pillow. Funny to watch.

Ava does the same thing, een with peepee. So funny! Hefner does the bury the bone thing! I love it!

Yeah, Rika does it with just about everything. We always like to pretend that when she's done we can't see it, even though it's right in the middle of the floor. lol

Scooter hides all his treats either outside, under a pillow, behind a chair, between the cushions of the couch, and anywhere else he thinks is safe.
