| stem cell research Hey guys......just heard on a TV news type dog hor on yesterday that there is stem cell proceedures for our "lovable" family members (oh! I mean 4 legged family members ) just like the 2 legged members. One of the proceedures they mentioned (that I heard...was cleaning) was to the leg joint catilliage....in humans the proceedure is about 40k....yes I said 40k (but consider it) and in pets about 2-3kish. Weeeerrrr getting there...I also heard "on TV" that we as humans approx 5yrs away can sorta count on living to 150 or maybe older???? Sounds alittle fantastic, no. Don't mean to spread rumors or give false hopes to those that want to live forevever but this stem cell stuff sounds like there is a lot of new stuff on the horizion that were only heard of in fairy tales. But the thing I am trying to get across is that there will probably longer lives and better medical proceedure for doggies (and other animals). Sounds like it, no! Tina

| i can understand your feelings....not sure this is the right thread area for this...but are you saying that if you needed heart surgery that you would not get it because it would be a better longer lasting proceedure. tina
