They ran a story on our local news about people having their dog's ears pierced to wear earrings. Of course the first one they showed was a yorkie. COme on people, this is going too far.

I would never pierce my dogs ears, why put them through the pain (I know it's only like a second) when they don't even ask for it, plus the risk of them scratching at it or what if it becomes infected.

AT first the idea kind of appealed to me then my second thought was "Why would I want to do something like that to Adie - It wouldn't do anything for her health and she sure wouldn't choose it herself!"

The Yorkie they showed, the earrings were weighing her ears down...all of this time we spend helping them get their ears up and then do something dumb like that, I don't get it.

Yeah this is quite the new thing here. I would never pierce my babies ears! Though she did get a manicure and has cute pink nails

Actually it might be nice...I would not to it..
but, a pretty earing with a nice bow ...hmm....
it could be another way of ID your pet if he/she gets lost
but mine would pull it out ..or it would come out during playing.
I cant even keep bows in there hair..and I think those bows get tangle
and hard to get out..If you take care of it like the bows.
I see nothing wrong with it
