| I Agree, I Wouldnt Muzzle, I Would Confine Him To A Smaller Area. Or A Crate. I Put My Tucker In A X Pen When I Leave Him Alone. There Is Enough Room For A Bed, A Pee Pad, And Room To Play, That Is All He Needs While I Am Gone. Renae

| I would just put him in a playpen definetly do not put a muzzle on him, he needs to eat and drink. Just make sure you have water, food, and lots of chew toys!!

| Muzzles can only be on for so long, and I don't like seeing them in muzzles..sounds like he has too much run of the house..I have 4 inside(the oldest is 10 years) and they don't even have run of the house..they have the family room, laundry room and kitchen, the rest of the house is off limits to them..I would get him an xpen and would forget the muzzle |

| Yes, putting a muzzle on him would be cruel. It is also not a safe environment for him to be able to get into all of these things. I would get a crate and an xpen and have lots of chew toys for him.

| It sounds like he has the run of the house when you are gone and is bored and chewing everything in sight. I would invest in an xpen and some good chew toys to keep him safe when you are not home. |

| I have used a muzzle for Chewy just to cut his nails when he was younger because he would bite. It isn't pretty. They pant they feel upset, and I don't think they can drink and there is NO EATING!!! You can't just muzzle a dog for long periods of time. Muzzles have their place when ALL ELSE FAILS.... When a dog is biting.... We ony used ours a few times and then Chewy decided not to bite any more... try anx pen. Or a create.

| Please check the other electrical wires in your house. I'm afraid of your pup getting shocked. Many, many pets have been seriously injured that way. I agree with what the others have told you. No muzzle...use a crate or an xpen.

| Please don't use a muzzle. They may be okay for restraint during medical procedures or grooming and aggression, but a dog shouldn't be left unsupervised in one. Have you tried a crate?

Click on the category you want to post in (general discussion, health and diet...). Click on "New Thread" close to the top left of the screen. Type in your title and message and click submit. Does that help?
