| You can try shaving them to make them lighter, and if they're still not up, you can tape them. There are some great threads on how to do it, just search "taping ears"

| My biewer, Bella, will be 15 weeks old on Friday and we finally got her ears to stay up last week.. We've had them taped off and on for about 3 weeks.. One ear has been up but the other ear had to stay taped an extra week.. eta - it really did help with them being shaved!

| We brought our Toto home at 16 weeks and our breeder said they had just "popped" up! Give 'em time Mom!! Trimming that top 1/3 helps too.

| Gleason's ears were floppy and my vet super glued them and they stayed stuck about 2 weeks and when they came unglued they stayed up. It didn't hurt him at all and he didn't even act like he knew they were glued. Have you tried that? |

if mine aren't up by eight weeks, I always shave and tape them. I use a wahl clipper with no attached blades. Also wet the hair and trim around the edges of the ear. | |

| I agree. Shaving the inside tips of the ears can help with clippers not a regular shaver like us girls use.. Or you can tape them up off and on for about a week or two to see if that helps at all. Dont get discouraged she's still young too. |

| My Chase wil be 7 months on the 29th. His ears starting standing up by themselves at 5 months. They stayed up for about 1 month and then they flopped again, I am assuming this was due to teething. One ear is just now starting to stand up on it own, the other ear is up and down, mostly down. I too was wondering if this is normal and if you think his floppy ear is going to stand back up. I have shaved the ears and taped the floppy one. After I take the tape off it stands for a few minutes and then it flops right back down. I have attached pictures of him showing his ears while they were standing. It just seems strange that they won't stand back up after being erect for a month. Sorry I forgot my computer is in the shop. I don't have pictures downloaded on this computer. You can look at some of my other post for pictures, sorry about that. |

| I use just a little personal razor like they sell at Walgreens for like $9 - It's about as thick as a pen, the blade is small and makes so little noise. I use this just to keep the ears looking nice

I think I would tape them instead of using superglue. Some vets may do it but I would be scared to use it.

| My baby is 5 months old and her ears are not up either. Silly question – but do you have to shave the hair off of the ears in order to tape them? I assume it’s because the hair weighs them down? She doesn’t sit still at all so I’m so nervous to try and shave them. Can I tape them without shaving? |
