| help! sneezing and coughing? okay so my puppy went to the vet on sat for her first puppy check up and we did tests, blood work etc and she was fine. the vet did ask me if she had been sneezing or coughing and i said yes but that nothing had been coming out. but now i notice she has clear fluid coming out when she sneezes and she is doing it ALOT more... i am worried. could this be some kind of dog cold?? or is she getting allergies cus shes so close to the ground? i would feel kinda silly going back to the vet after having just seen her just cus shes sneezing so any ideas about what this is would help |

| My thought thought would be kennel cough but I really don't know. Don't feel silly about going back to the vet. Your pup needs to be checked. Kennel cough can turn into pneumonia.

| I would definitely call the vet back and tell him that things have changed. |

| My wee pup had just gotten over his bout of kennel cough. It took about 3 weeks total to clear, and needed 1 week worth of antibiotic, a cough supressant shot and an anti-inflamatory shot. The vet then said just to let the cough run it's course, the most important thing initially is to make your wee pup comfortable, and to ensure it doesn't develop into something more serious, like pnuemonia. There was no instant cure for Sebo, just a lot of cuddles and treats, and a few sleepless nights for evrybody concerned, as it's a nasty wee condition! The symptoms Sebo showed were the coughing, and the runny nose, with occassional sneezing! Hope that helps, and hope your wee pup gets better soon! |
