| ![]() so glad he is back to 100% ![]() miss buffey is shaker too ... i just think she has a more shy personality ... we took her for a walk this weekend (her first one ![]() ![]() bentley is not scared of anything and never shakes lol ... i just think it is a personality thing? maybe repeated exposure over time to whatever scares them or makes them shake (with you right by their side so they know they are okay and safe) will help a lot too

| ![]() my yorkie was scared of EVERYTHING as a pup. the best thing you can do is introduce him to as many new situations as possible, and take the lead by being confident and calm yourself. try not to comfort him when he's shaking (as hard as it may be) because when you comfort him while he's shaking, you're essentially reinforcing the undesirable behavior with affection. if you play it cool, he'll eventually come around. |

| ![]() I have a 10 yr. old that shakes. She's a puppymill doggie and is mentally challenged. My husband always says he feels sorry for her---what must it feel like to always be so afraid? My 11 yr. old came from a nasty home situation and after 9 yrs. still doesn't want to be held unless I force her. On some threads there has been talk of seeing a behavioralist or giving obedience training. Have no idea whether these techniques work. Just things I've heard of. Joanne ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
