| Sad Story I just wanted to share a sad story to prevent another tragedy. My friend crates her 4 month old puppy while she works. She left his collar on and it got caught on the latch. Poor puppy was cold when she arrived home. She didn't even realize the danger of the collar. Maybe by sharing this story it could give someone a needed heads up. RIP * Dawkins

| That is really sad I think it's a good idea to only have a collar on them when they're going outside, I would be heartbroken |

YT Addict | Ohh, thank you for this. I was just wondering if I should leave Teddy's collar on? I normally don't, but this makes me reaffirm that my decision to leave it off (except while on walks) is the best idea. Poor baby. RIP.

| I am so sorry for your friend! RIP little angel!! I would suggest using collartag if you want your pup to have a collar on all the time. It is much safer and it wouldn't get caught with anything. http://www.boomerangtags.com/store/list.php?A=G&ID=5 |

| My heart goes out to your friend that is so sad and i want to thank you for the warning as i am sure it will save many furbabies i for one will not let mine wear a collar unless they are going outside and that will just be so they will have their tags on. Prayers going out to your friend Mary

| I am so sorry for that puppy and for your friend. I am very paranoid and don't leave anything on my dogs when they are left in the crate. I've heard of this happening before...I remember it happening to a YT member little yorkie also.

My Little Man! Donating Member | Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that! Poor little pup I always used breakaway collar when I am not home. So if the collar gets stuck on something it just breaks off very easy and not harm the baby.
