| Have your family sneak him in. What's the worst they could do if they found out? it might work. |

| have ur family make the food a little more fun. Like put some wet food on top of it or the Savory Sauces. Put water in the food so he doesnt get dehydrated. Or get a siringe (sp)? and have them squirt in in his mouth. Its more impt that he drinks than eats. Also try unflavored pedialyte so he'll stay hydrated longer |

| When I was in the hospital recently, my daughter brought Murfee to see me 3 or 4 times. We only got caught once and the nurses closed the door and came in a loved on him Good luck.

| Keep a shirt of yours (that's not washed) around for him to lay with so he can still have your scent. Maybe that'll make him feel more comfortable. Also, if someone is with him give them a call and talk to him.

| I am sorry to hear you had such a horrific thing happen to you and Tino. I pray that you will be better and your op is successful. As far as your little boy, try adding a little karo syrup to his water to entice him to drink. Your family might have to use a dropper or surringe to get fluids in him. If they sell Nutri-cal or something similar to it, you might want to have some of that on hand in case he won't eat. One of your family members that you think Tino will trust the most should sit next to you while you are holding Tino so they can get well acquainted. Try to get them to hand feed him while he is in your lap so he will know it is okay. You also might want to leave an article of clothing you've worn like a t-shirt or something that your family member can lay in their lap for Tino to lay on. It might make him feel more secure. I pray everything will be okay for you and Tino. Please keep us updated. Last edited by bjh; 02-10-2008 at 03:44 PM. |

| I definately wouldn't sneak him in - hospitals are filled with germs! Who knows what he could pick up - I wouldn't chance that. I agree with the other posters who said try to jazz up his food. I imagine once he gets really hungry he will eat. Good luck with your surgery! |

| Even when hes really hungry he just will not eat till i am in the house then goes mad and eats all he can find. My parents are going to do him nice things to eat and i am going to leave my pj`s on the bed so he can cuddle up on them like he does during the day. You must all understand that our yorkies are our life and babies and we all worry, i know i do, i even went out and bought him a new sexy black diamond collar today as i feel sad having to leave him.

| HI Chellby, long time no see. I was wondering what happened to you. I am sorry you and Tino had such a horrible experience. He can't get to you again can he? You have been given good advise. Hope you recover soon. Take care, and let us know how things went. Hugs, Sheilagh
