Ok, Harlem (male) just started humping my leg yesterday. He only tried it once and that was it. He is soon to be one years old and I can't tell if this is called being in heat or not. Today I was sitting with my legs crossed totally not thinking about what was about to happen and he comes over and humps my leg really hard and I was shocked. It was like I was violated, ha, ha. Well, let's just say, I was shocked and couldn't believe that he was doing what he was doing. So now, I feel like I need to find a girl yorkie for him. Ok, maybe that is a bit much but what do I do and how do I handle this and is it going to stop or get worse and is he really in heat? I just felt like my baby is not a baby anymore. I don't know, help, suggestions!

Only females go into heat, your male is probably just getting to that age. Getting him fixed should help and in the mean time try to discourage him anytime he tries to get up on your leg.

He has been neutured. He got it done in Jan. But I am glad to know that males can't go into heat! I just will try and discourage him. Thanks!

I dont really know because I have a girl... Though, the first time she humped anything was in her first heat, but I think that a girl thing... But, I'd say it sounds like he's definately "maturing"... Meka humped my daughter in her first heat and I did discourage it...then she set her sites on a small pillow and I kinda just let her do her thing. I dont really know if your suppose to let em' or not

It may just be a dominance thing then if he's been fixed.
