| Looking for a New Love Hi Everyone, I just found this site & am delighted. In August, I had to put down my 5-year old Yorkie, Dudley, who had contracted neurological nerve disease the year before. Many thousands of dollars later, he could no longer eat and the inevitable became a necessity. As you know, it's the worst of all devastations. He was born in England to a line of Cruft's champions, so one never knows. I adored him, and after having owned 4 other Yorkies, he and I were the most bonded of all, from the moment I saw him when I went to Wales to pick him up. I am now ready for another, and have been in touch with breeders in my area. Almost had a little guy when I learned the price was $2000. No way can I afford that much. I have applied to 2 Yorkie rescues and know the right dog will come along. Because of the heartache with Dudley, I am not willing to take a special needs dog. If anyone knows of any reputable breeders in the tri-state area (I live in CT) that charge a [B]reasonable price for a new puppy, please let me know ASAP. I will post pictures of my boy when I get home tonight. Thanks. |
