I'm very sorry for your loss, I know your heart must be broken.

We never expect a tragedy to occur and there's nothing we can do to make the pain feel better but to give it time :(.

Once, my yorkie poo Bentley (he was 5 months old) ran out the front door when my little sister opened it coming home from school. The school was right across the street and Bentley saw all the children running everywhere and BOLTED across the street during the heaviest traffic time of the day. He could have easily been hit. And you know what I did? I froze. I didn't call or chase after him I was so stunned. Luckily my husband was home and ran after him. God only knows what would have happened if he didn't. I still beat myself up over what if's.

But honestly you had no idea that would happen and it was just what it was -- an accident :(.

I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers <3

OMG OMG, my heart is just breaking for you. I could hardly read this. I am SO SO SO sorry for the pain you must feel. Please also, when you can, remember all the LOVE you gave this little darling. He would want you do to that. I\'m so sorry, Connie.

I\'m so sorry for your loss:cry: It was not your fault, accidents happen:( I hope and pray that you\'ll come to see that it wasn\'t your fault, but a tragic accident.:girl_hug: We sure do all we can to protect our little ones, but sometimes they just have a mind of their own and a thirst for adventure, and of course they aren\'t aware of the dangers out there.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was not your fault, you love him dearly and you did your very best to care for him. He loves you too and he will always love you.

I can\'t imagine how you feel, time will heal your pain.

I am sorry if this is out of line, but I am going to post it just in case you might be interested...I just came across a thread where a family has 2 boyz that they need to \'rehome\' - they sound like wonderful boyz, maybe they both could help you heal, they need a loving home and you are such a wonderful Mom, maybe they would be just what you need right now.

Anyway, I am sorry if I upset you even more by posting about the 2 boyz, it\'s not at all what I wanted to do. But I also didn\'t want to pass them by, just in case it was a perfect match to help your pain of your loss of Bentley.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your story made me cry. I have a Schnauzer that bolts any time the door is open. My worst fear has come true for you. Please don\'t blame yourself. It was an accident. I hope you find some comfort here. It sounds like you gave him all the love he could hold while he was here. That is the best you can do.

I am so sorry for your loss....I think we have all been in the same situation you described....Little one gets out and has that "I am free and you can\'t catch me" attitude....Please do not blame yourself....It was a tragic accident....

i know its really hard to not blame yourself but it really isnt your fault at all. they are fast little buggers and like you said its a game to them. he was having fun. i am sooooo sorry for your loss and will keep you and your family in our prayers.

I can tell by your pictures of Bentley that he was one spoiled little baby! He was so lucky to have had such a wonderful loving mommy, and to have lived such a happy life. :rose:
