| Doggie boots, I need your help PLEASE!! Alright so I bought some doggie boots for Cookie that I seen at Walmart since he needs to go outside to go potty. I bought the size small and they cost $10. Now please tell me, how the heck do you get these things on? It took me a good 10 minutes to get them on and then they didn't even stay on for very long. What am I doing wrong? I am pretty sure I got the right size, I mean his paw fits the sole of the boot pretty good and I can't see how a size smaller would work better and a size bigger definitely won't work. Gosh I never thought it would be so hard to put boots on a dog, even one that will hold still for you!! Now Peppi my cocker has some doggie boots. But they are the cheap kind, made out of fleece with leather on the bottom. Now they stay on great but they get so soaked so fast. Cookie really needs some doggie boots but I just don't what I did wrong? Do all doggie boots come off this easy? Do a certain brand for them to stay on? Do I have the size wrong? So please help me!! If anyone has any idea what I am doing wrong or how I get these dang things on and to stay on please let me know!!

| If they are not made of a soft nylon and have a little strap that has velcro, then they may not work. Could be too difficult for them if they are bulky. |

| walmart dog boots I got the same ones you're talking about in an x small for my 5 month old. They fit her perfectly. She didn't try to bite on them or anything, but she was sleepy at the time. She did walk funny in them, kind of a jump hop. It was funny, but yet I felt sorry for her at the same time. I'm debating taking them back after I take a picture of her in them. We got a lot of snow the last few days and she is doing fine without boots. I wanted them mostly for the salt if we take a walk or something. The x small are too big for my Pom though, and they didn't have xx small. I have a feeling he would mess with them big time. Maybe you should try the x small because at first I thought CoCo would wear the small. I purchased both sizes. |

| Continued To get them on put the paw in and make sure black strip is behind the zipper before zipping, then secure the strap tightly. They fit CoCo snuggly and stayed on her foot. |

| Oh so the black thing goes in front right behind the zipper!! Boy do I feel stupid!! I just pushed the black thing down to where he was stepping on it. I will have to give that a try to see if it makes a difference.

I would like them to be a little tighter so they stay on even better but atleast this time he was actually able to walk without them falling off. Gosh I feel like such an idiot!! Thank You so much for your help, I really appreciate it!!

| No problem. My husband actually explained to me about the black strip and said it is to keep thier hair from getting pinched in the zipper. I didn't know what it was for at first glance either. |
