| How many of your babies have flown on a plane? Hi everyone! I was just wondering how many of you have flown on a plane with your babies. I REALLY want to go to the YT Meetup in June and bring Lulu but she is very nervous with loud noises like thunder or planes flying overhead that I don't know if she would freak out flying on a plane. She shakes for over an hour and hides in the corner when we have a thunderstorm! My husband said he would drive with me if I decided to drive but it is about a 16 hour drive so it would take a couple of days. I suppose I could leave Lulu at home but it wouldn't be as much fun. I would appreciate everyone's advice!! Thanks, Colleen and Lulu |

| flying I have never had a problem with one in the cabin...most sleep. When the plane takes off and lands, I give them a tasty treat to eat so their ears won't pop..I figure they might like mine do. Of course, she must be used to a carrier and not coming out the entire trip...although I have taken mine out and covered them with a shawl...but mien are quiet and love to go places..nosies do not bother them... |

| I have flown with my little one. She was pretty well behaved, but wanted out of her carrier. I ended up putting her carrier on my lap and petting her most of the time. You are supposed to keep them under the seat but the flight attendants didn't mind me having her carrier on my lap.

| The planes aren't as noisy inside and I'm sure she would do just fine. Mine know the routine, and just kick back and sleep now. |

| Teddi is going to take her first plane ride on the 11th when we go to Tennessee. I hope she does well. I think I will have to take her on another plane trip soon so she doesn't think that when you go on a plane you have to go to the doctor. I thought her first plane trip would be a fun one!

| I just flew with MiMi about two months ago. She was great, didnt make a peep the whole ride. But I snuck her on my lap a couple times, the flight attendent didnt mind either, she was too busy awwing over her. But not everyone is a dog lover so depends on the people. Does she do well on the crate? The loudest part was in the airport with all the comotion. I dont know what advice to give really, just bring things to keep her busy, like some toys and chew to put inside her crate and keep her in there the busiest/loudest times of transport. |

| the wife and i flew with yogi thinking that he was gonna be a terror on the plane but he chilled in his purse the whole way. the only time he whined a little he had to pee really bad so i took him out and put him on a pee pad and he peed and went to sleep in his bag again. most flight attendants will even let you take them out and let them lay on your lap they think they are so cute and the drinks will be on them. |

| you are not supposed to feed them about i think 6 hours before a plane ride and no water i believe is 4 hours before? i wouldnt reccomend treats during the ride bc of the poop issue, i'd say bring something for them to chew on like abully stick or rawhide or something, and bring a blankie and toys when belle flew with me she wanted out of her carrier but they wouldnt let me keep her out she stuck her head out the whole time and i petted her from my seat...

| Thank you everyone for your replies! It is nice to know that most of you have had success with flying on a plane. Lulu is a very nervous dog and shakes a lot when she is scared. I am hoping if I decide to go to the meetup in June and bring her, that she will get used to loud noise and not be as afraid. |
