| Wickett got shaved!! Wickett has developed a bad habit of licking a specific spot until the hair is all matted. It's been so frustrating, and we can't watch him 24x7 to stop him, so he ended up with a few matts that I just couldn't get out. So, I took him to the groomers so they could cut his long hair shorter (to make the tangles more manageable), to have the knots taken out, and I told them to leave the long hair on his head alone. When I went back to pick him up they handed me a rat!! They shaved his body and cut the hair on his head short. He looked so depressed and sad, shivering because he was cold. For about a week he sulked around, and whenever I told him he was a pretty boy he would lower his head as if ashamed. He KNEW that what happened was wrong. So I've been dressing him even when we're just at home so he doesn't feel so naked. And he's also discovered that it's much warmer under the covers than on top of that, so he crawls under the covers like a little mole. That part is cute. But I feel so bad for him! It's grown out a tiny bit now, but it'll take a while for him to have actual hair. I'm going to keep him in a puppy cut from now on so his hair is easier to detangle because I'd hate to have him go through this again. Poor little guy! But we still love him. |

| Sorry to hear that... Im at the point where I dont trust groomers anymore. I've read too many stories about "groomers gone wrong". I think its absurd that you can tell them what you want, and they do something totally different. Then to top it off, they still get paid for their services?!? Crazy... Thats why I do it myself

| Yes, and of course they charged me extra because of the knots. Next time I will be very specific. Poor little guy has no hair! I need to post the pictures I took of him - he looks soooo tiny! He was all hair.. |

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | I don't trust groomers either. Abigail has never been to one, and likely never will. I'm particularly suspicious if they won't let you stay and watch. What's with that?! You're going to steal grooming secrets?

| Am sorry you dont like Wicketts new hairdo. I have just had my 9mt old Betty shaved. Her puppy coat had been grown out and it was getting very matted. I just love her like this, she is so cute. . And actually Betty has been a lot more lively and seems to be more comfortable in her self. Heres a wee pic.

| OH NO! Im sure hes still adorable though it will grow out! I actually have an appt next saturday for both my boys! Im super nervous bc although I like their hair short I dont like it too short, maybe 2-3 inches all around, so I basically just want the groomer to clean them up cuz Ive been doing the cuts for about 8 months now and Im taking my boys to New Mexico in a few weeks and want them to look handsome and be CLEAN for their trip! Anyways Im sooo nervous the groomer will cut them too short and they will look all stupid for their trip! You should have heard me today when I made the appt! HAHAHAHA "Don't cut them too short, I like the hair 2-3 inches, clean up their faces, don't use the clippers on their bellies (fletch got an infection one time from clipper burn) Cut their nails short as possible, tip fletchers ears, but not dexters, do their anal glands" LOL The woman must think either Im a nut, or Im a pain in the Butt customer!!! I am not normally, I just want them to look good and have enough hair to keep them warm while we travel!

| It took a few days, but I am used to the shaved doggie and of course he is still cute. I'm going to keep him in a puppy cut from now on instead of growing it longer. And he's used to it now as well, so that's good. But he does get cold easily, so he has to crawl under the covers at night for warmth, and if we go out I put a sweater on him. He looks so cute! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Poor baby!!! The few times I take Cali I go over exactly what I want done and never use the words, short shaved etc. The last time I had Cali groomed she was so matted so the groomer thinned her out and trimed her a little and she has been so much easier to groom and no mats. SO hopefully Wickett's hair will grow in easier to manage. Besides they look cute hair or no hair!!!

| Aww, I know just how you feel but it will grow out before you know it! Here are some pictures of mine looking like "rats". The first one is my poor little Gracie after a disastorous visit to a new groomer who we obviously never retuned to. This was supposed to be a 2- 3 inch puppycut. Second and third are my own fault. I decided I wanted Sugar shaved down so his hair wouldn't mat in clothes. Can you say bobble head. They both grew out and we all survived but trust me, I feel your pain!
