| Welcome to yt, It really depends on the personality of the pup. I have a very fiesty boy that does not like to cuddle all the time. My niece has a yorkie girl who is fiesty and a boy. Her boy loves to cuddle all the time. Personalities vary with each furbaby. Good luck, whichever one you get you will enjoy. |

| Well, I have four adult females and two adult males. My males are the sweetest little things ever except when someonee is in heat. Then the guys don't like each other much. I am also an older female and the guys are always trying to get in my lap. The girls, all except one, don't seem to pay any attention. I also have a litter that I am getting ready to sell right now and it has three boys in it. Two of the guys are happy go lucky, into everything. One little guy is kind of timid. One girl is timid and one is spunky. But when I go to my puppy room, it's the guys that make a beeline for me. So i guess it is just a personal choice. if I could only have one, it would be my little male. |

| What kind of other pets do you have? My boys are just as loving as my girls. It just depends on the personality of the puppy. Also, the personality of the puppies parents plays a big role in how each pup will turn out as well as how they are socialized by the breeder. |

| In my opinion and for my experience ONLY males are more cuddly and love the lap...my Soleil is very independant and dosent need me 24/7 like Reece does..I love then both to bits..I would probably get another male if I had to choose..as I love the fact that he adores me...BUT he is also much more hyper than Soleil..he is 16 months and Soleil is 6 months and Reece acts more like a puppy than she does...she is much more reserved and "lady like" hehe..again thats just MY dogs...good luck whatever you decide to get!! | I have one male and three females. All of mine are cuddly and love to be held. I don't think there is a difference between the sexes. It's just individual personalities. My last litter, the female was the trouble maker and instigater. The male was more laid back. My current litter (2 boys and a girl) is only 3 weeks old so too soon to tell. |

| I would agree with SWEETR72....I find that the girlies are more independant, though very loyal and protective when you are feeling bad or ill, but my boy will sit on my lap all day...can be a bit of a pain as he will stick to you like glue and you can't get anything done for him wanting some petting....constantly !!! My hubby sometimes finds him a nuisance as he continually jumps up on him wanting attention when he is busy and doesn't like other dogs getting attention over him ! I just take over petting him if he is annoying my hubby ! He loves to be the warmest in bed, and will push you over...all 4lbs of him....off the best place in the bed ! I continually find my arse is hanging out of the bed, all cold, as he has taken over ! He also likes to lick you continually ! boy -So if you want a shadow, with loads of kisses and continual lap attention, choose a male ! Watch out as he will protect you too and may bark at people ! ....and the smaller ones can pee on their legs so need more washing ! Also they want love for their benefit.....though extremely loving ! girl -If you want a nurse to look after you, or a loving, but independant dog who will value a bit of space every now and then, then choose a female ! I find they are less smelly and less messy ! Tara can read my mind and protects me from the others if I am not well or upset. The girls sit on their own and come to you when you want or need them. Better still, get one of each and get the female speyed .................................................. Debra x x x 1. Casper 5 2. Tara 7.5 3. Tammy 4 4. Tammy Casper Tara |

| I think it totally depends on the personality of the dog. Either one can be darling, but I'm partial to males, because they seem more loving to me.

| I have a male and a female... my Tootie Boy is definitely the most lovey little dog ever.. Hopey, my girl is VERY attached but more independent. She wants to be BY me, not ON me and really doesnt like to CUDDLE like Tootie.. I have the best of both worlds.... but my boy is more cuddly than my girl... d

| Well I have a male and a female and mine are differrent than most on here. My female is the cuddler. She wants to be on your lap all day, constantly gives kisses and is basically my shadow. My male is sweet but he is more independent and not as cuddly as my female. I think all dogs have different personalities

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I guess they are all different and it depends on the personality. My male is very loving, he loves all the attention, when i come home and they are all jumping on me, i say hi to each but when he is standing he will push the girls off of me for me to pet him only. He is also very hyper and friendly. He loves visitors to come and jumps everywhere to say hi to them. He is the trouble maker, always finding stuff in the house and if i take it away from him he goes and finds something else. He is not a lap baby, he loves his stomach to be rubbed but he won't sit for long, and he loves to run and be where the action is. My female London is very alpha female. She is the one that rules the house and is the tiniest but with me and my bf she is very loving and sweet. She loves to be held all the time, will bark or whine for me to hold her or sleep in the bed with me. Other than that she doesn't bark, she's pretty quiet. She loves all dogs and everything, goes crazy to say hi to them. Sophie my other female is very sweet but very nervous. She shakes a lot but is very brave when Teddy is bothering me (playing)she will protect me and growl and bark at him. She barks at bigger dogs like she is their size and also likes to be in my lap. She also looves to lick my face. And yesterday i pretended to cry, i did like a dog cry and she came over onto my lap and licked my face. She is sooo sweet, it's like she knows things.

| I don't think anyone can tell you which sex would be better for you... each baby is different just like people! when i went to buy my yorkie everyone said to get a boy because the boys take to the women and the girl yorkies take more to men. thats not true. atleast not in my case.. my barbie is very calm for the most part she's a true lap dog =) she'd rather sit on mommys lap then run around and be crazy any day... and she took to me now i can't even go the bathroom without my shadow. i was afraid she'd take to my fiance but she didnt =) good luck! just let your yorkie pick you!! you'll be happy no matter what the sex is!
