| new puppies!!! Hey there everyone! I haven't been on YT for over a year with moving, having a new baby, being busy with kid and the list goes on... Our little Tilly just had 4 beautiful puppies on the 18th. She did wonderfully!!! Babies are so precious and doing great! MY question is, does shredded newspaper work the best to line the whelping box with or if you have any better suggestions? We have tried towels but they very quickly get kinda smelly So I think the shredded NP will be soft, easy to clean and warm. Let me know what you think. Alisha

| Welcome back and Congratulations on the puppies. I don't have any suggestions on the newspaper, but hopefully some will.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | I've got four 5 week old pups...never used newspaper. Wouldn't it get wet and soggy and then the ink would get on the puppies????? Anyway, I've used blankest, towels, and such and just wash them every other day (at leasst). Got to have plenty on hand. Congratulations on your puppies!

| SHREDDED NEWSPAPER IS NOT THE WAY TO GO IF YOU DON'T LIKE MESSES. IT'S EVERY WHERE. My mama dog loves it. So nice and soft, but I can't stand the mess. Blankets are going to have to be how we go or not so much shredding! Live and learn

| Congratulations on the new babies. When we had cocker pups, I always used old clothes like t-shirts, blankets, etc. Things you can wash and reuse. Newspaper is a big mess and makes the pups stink. Hope this helps.
