| Not happy with little Miss Susanah She has eaten a hole in the wall in the hallway. I am very angry at her. She has never ever so much as sniffed the wall before. I don't know what in the world possessed her to chew a hole in it. I guess I am going to have to gate off that section and she can't have free run of the house anymore. This is the first time Susanah has ever done anything that really made me angry at her. I feel a little guilty. But I know she has to learn that some things are just unacceptable.

| She'll be 8 months old next week. Even if she is teething she didn't have to eat the WALL! It isn't like she doesn't have $500 worth of chew/teething toys to chew on.

| Oh I know! Maybe crate her while she's going through this delinquent phase...Pixie is a bit of a delinquent too at the moment she's coming up to 6 months.

| Mine have gnawed all the corners of my brand new expensive molding, so I feel your pain here! Mine do it if they are bored/stressed/or just plain want to and they could care less how many toys they have! I have them in my big dining room w/an expen stretched all along the walls so they cant get to it anymore |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | One of my Yorkies from a long time ago did the same thing...ate a hole through the drywall but it was because he was crated and he was too close to the wall so when we were at work he definitely kept himself occupied..lol. We learned to pull the crate far enough from the wall so he wouldn't be able to get back at it. Thank goodness my husband at the time was able to fix it without calling in a professional. I know...at the time you are so mad at them cause they have a zillion toys to chew but then after a few minutes who could be mad anymore. At least the wall is fixable look at it that way. and she didn't get sick from eating the wall.

| I am sorry that you have holey walls. I completely understand. One of my furbutts chewed on all the corners of the baseboards. I have a better solution than gating Susannah off -- just send her to me. She will fit right in with my gang |

| If sending Miss Susannah to me won't work for you, you might try smearing a little of the green Habanero hot sauce might do the trick. |

| Bianca my bichon did this A LOT before she was 1. I live in an apartment too. I had to put filler in there, sand it down and repaint. She also chewed the molding, corner of the walls, and the carpet around the fireplace tile, and a window sill. She drove me nuts. I wish i knew about the deoderant trick then! Bitter apple didnt work. Its better now. I moved into a diff apartment too! LOL

I put the deoderant on it. So far she hasn't gone near it again. *crossing fingers* Hopefully she won't.
