| Clothing Yorkies I have to say first of all that in the past....(pre-Sassy time)...if someone had mentioned dressing up dogs in 'fashionable attire' I would have said, "How silly!" HOWEVER.... Now that I have Sassy, I have done a complete and absolute reversal on that opinion. Sassy absolutely loves to get her clothes on. I have been trying my hand at making her a few things and she is such a delight through all of it! When she hears the Velcro opening sound (last thing done meaning it is finished...LOL), she comes running to me to get the latest try-on. She turns in circles in front of me, hopping up and down and pushing on my legs until I get it on her and then she is happy and goes about her Yorkie business. It absolutely thrills me to be able to make her so happy. And nobody will ever be able to convince me she doesn't like it. She LOVES it! Here she is in her latest: |

The absolute hardest thing was finding patterns. I first found that free one that is on the net (http://www.sewing.circleofcrafters.c...stpattern.html) but I had to search really hard to find the ones that have sizes from XXSmall to Medium. Can't wait to get Sassy's little flannels. It's getting colder here (a little) and I like sleeping in cooler atmosphere so I am looking forward to her nighties! I don't want her to be chilled and she doesn't always sleep under the covers. | |

| I will be amking these and a few other things, all out of specialty fabrics. I have a lot of chenille and tapestry fabrics that I will be using. I have only made clothing for dolls. Never for anything that is alive. The dolls never complained about anything being too tight or not fitting correctly. I am immensely enjoying myself and I find that I am totally absorbed in this lately. I had to force myself to make a floral for one of my clients today. That sort of took over the day as it is a four by four arrangement on a corbel. It is nearly finished and I will be able to get back to this. I have made a royal mess of my dining room. I have fabric everywhere! I am the queen of making a mess when I get creative. I need to post a sign outside my front door that says "Creative Minds Are Seldom Tidy" as a warning. |
