| Travel Carrier (airline approved) I am taking my Sassy with me to NJ for Christmas and I just bought the Jet Setter Carrier here: http://shop-tag.com/index.php?crn=22...on=show_detail It has wheels so you can pull it along with you but the wheels detach so you can place it under your seat as per airline regulations. I had a terrible time finding something that was airline approved. |

| I have a Louis Vuitton carrier, but they require ventilation on 2 or 3 sides and mine only has a vent on the front..I am not looking to spend a fortune...Can't afford it after paying all the money for a xmas flight!!

| You can go here and check the requirements for your specific airline: http://www.pettravel.com/airline_rules.cfm We are flying American and these are ther requirements: Pet Carrier Guidelines The maximum size for cabin pet carriers is 23" long x 13" wide x 9" high. Animals must be able to stand up, turn around and lay down in a natural position in the kennel. Soft-sided pet carriers are accepted as long as they are constructed of water-repellent, padded nylon with mesh ventilation on two or more sides. What drove me nuts was the part I have highlighted in blue above. Last edited by sammiz; 11-18-2007 at 07:19 PM. |

| Pet Flys! www.petflys.com The two smallest sizes are airline approved. The biggest size has to be turned on its side. These carriers are really nice!

| Great question, as I'm trying to figure out the same thing & flying with 2, and need to stay on a budget. I'm flying Northwest & they say - maximum kennel size permitted is 17Lx12Wx8H inches The combined weight of your pet(s) and kennel may not exceed 15 pounds I can't even find a carrier to fit 2 that is that size or under - I'm wondering how closely they monitor the size??? the one I'm really considering is 19 inches long. Also, I can't find a weight on any bag & I've looked at the ones on wheels. My dogs weigh about 8 pounds together, so I don't really think I'm in trouble there. This is the bag for 2 I'm looking at http://www.akcstore.org/akcstore/Pro...roductID=84412 And this is one of the wheeled bag I was looking at http://www.target.com/Sporty-Wheel-A...ank&rh=&page=1 And I found this wheeled one http://www.dog.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=380500%20RED Anyone have any experience with these??

| How about checking out the original "sherpa bag"? You can contact directly, the owner is a former stewardess or they are at petsmart and petco but more $$$.Happy travels! |

| I love this carrier and best of all so do my dogs. My friend Kelli was the one who turned me onto these - actually it was her dog Toby who loves his so much. We went to a dog show together and Toby loved his so much that Kelli had to take it to the show so he could ride around like the Prince he is. I have tried most of them and this one is great. I have it in the small and medium (you can't use the large size on the airplanes) but it is so easy to pull through the airport. The original company was "Pet Wheel-Away" but was bought out by snoozer. I got mine on ebay (be careful of imitations - not as well made) and one at Tuesday Morning. Just check on ebay for pet wheel-away or snoozer products. It can be used as a backpack (not all models), car seat and a bed. Mine is always on the floor because someone always wants to sleep in it. www.snoozer-dog-beds.com/WheelAway/wheel1.htmou

| If you are looking to save money, Walmart has onee that will fit all the airlines. it is black and vented on three sides. i get the meduim one. It has soft top corners so it can be smooshed down at the top. It is only about 15 bucks or so. This is the one I use when I escort so I can throw it away at the end unless the new owner wants it. That way I only have my purse on the return flight home. |

| I have one two.....and have used it on the plane, several times.....Pet edge had a nice one that is very inexpensive, mock croc.........shaped like the Louis Vuitton. I like the hard sided ones....since it does squash down like a Sherpa....when placed under the seat.....
