| I could just cry! I took Niko in for a cut yesterday evening and she about shaved him bald!!! I told her I wanted a puppy cut, as I prefer to keep his hair short. I didn't want her to take too much off the face, and she didn't. But, the body...omgosh...my poor baby! I feel so bad! Where all his beautiful black hair was is now almost bald. I specifically asked if she was experienced with Yorkies when I called and she reassured me she was. When I went to pick him up she told me that she had never seen a Yorkie with hair like mine. She said the hair shaft comes out a lil then twists...so she had to cut it shorter than she expected... She should have called me first! She said she used a 5 blade on him? and would use a 3 or 3.5 next time...as if there would be a next time. I was just in shock...I couldn't say anything. Now when I take my precious lil baby on vacation next week he's going with a bad haircut!! Everytime I look at him I just want to cry! |

| Just remember he is your same baby ... he does not know any different and will always be beautiful in your eyes. The hosiptals are full of children who have lost their hair due to chemo... so whenever i killed my lawn one year when we had just been in our home for one year ... i just put things in prospective and got through it . It will grow back.

| I'm sure this is so hard for you since it wasn't what you were expecting or wanted for your beautiful furbaby! As a innocent bystander I think he still looks totally adorable!!!!

| Well he's still super cute! At least you can be assured that the hair will grow back, and from what I hear pretty fast. Sorry that you ended up with a bad groomer! She definitely must not have been experienced with Yorkies.

| awwww hun. I am so sorry she did that! I agree, she should have called you. But, your little guy is still precious and most of all, he is yours! So sad that people will tell you anything to get you in. I miss honesty. Niko is a doll. Oh, and if it really is that bothering to you, you can always throw him in some cute clothes to cover him up for your vacation. ~Lisa

| Yes, Becky, you're right..almost sounds petty of me, doesn't it? Sorry. I was just needing to vent a lil I guess. But, you're right..it will grow and there are far worse things in the world. He will always be adorable to me! He's my baby. I'll go hide in my corner now...feeling a tad ashamed. |

Ditto with what PePe said. Look at it this way...now you have an excuse to bundle him up in cute sweaters and hoodies! I think he's adorable, but I like the close cut. Don't worry, mama. It'll grow back.

| Don't feel ashamed! There is always someone in the world worse off then you but that doesn't mean you aren't supposed to have feelings about your own life and happenings. Doesn't make you a cruel and insensitive person, just makes you human. I think everyone here can totally relate to how you feel.

| I did not want to make you feel ashamed... I felt bad when I trimmed Jax's hair last week it made me sick , my daughter even said to me " mom i cant believe you did that ." But i figured there were worse things... sorry i mentioned the children... i just am a nurse and have loved ones going through chemo right now ... so i guess it got away from me. Please accept my apology for making you feel bad ... like everyone says sweaters work wonders.
