| Please Pray for Winstin and I Ok, I have canceled Winstin's Neutering two times already. This time I did not. He goes tomorrow. He is almost 5 months old. I am a little nervous. I never leave him. Unless, my mother-in-law is puppy sitting. Please pray that my little boy does ok. He had all the blood work done already and he is a bit over 5 pounds now. He is my first boy dog and I am scared. Please, PLease pray. Also for those of you who have boys and got them fixed some encouragement would be appreciated. Hugs, Jen

| I will say a prayer for your little man. I had Coffee done at about the same age. He was fine. A little groggy for a while, but ate dinner that evening and managed to play a little with his sister.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Praying for a safe surgery. I know how you feel I always put it off and my last 2 came into heat while I procrastinated. He will be fine and home again soon.

| Hugs! He'll be fine. I'm proud of you for having it done. Remember that he will be less likely to get some forms of cancer, and he won't lose his mind every time a female in heat is nearby. You might also be able to avoid some of the marking issues. It really is the best thing to do for his sake. Are they taking any teeth out?

| Thanks Everyone! So far no teeth need to come out. She said we will need to keep an eye on his teeth. I never has my big girls done until one got sick. My mom is not helping, she was saying that it is not healthy do fix him. She also says he can get sick later from that. It is making me crazy. I do not agree. At least I hope that is wrong.

| I will be praying for ur furbaby... I had my furbaby spayed about over 4 yrs ago and I was scared as well. I know u feel bad and sad now but after his surgery (when his well) u will know that u did the right thing. I think for dogs that will not be mating should always be spayed/neutered.. JMO.. Anyhow, it seems like they just need a day of recovery, thats how long it took mine. On the next day he was acting normal, like nothing happened. Dont worry too much, I know urs will just be FINE Hope this helps...

| You are right! Here's a link to a veterinary site and some info you can use to ease your mind. http://www.marvistavet.com/html/body...its-to-the-dog WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS TO THE DOG? There are several health benefits to neutering. One of the most important concerns the prostate gland, which under the influence of testosterone will gradually enlarge over the course of the dog’s life. In age, it is likely to become uncomfortable, possibly being large enough to interfere w/defecation. The prostate under the influence of testosterone is also predisposed to infection which is almost impossible to clear up without neutering. Neutering causes the prostate to shrink into insignificance thus preventing both prostatitis as well as the uncomfortable benign hyperplasia (enlargement) that occurs with aging. It is often erroneously held that neutering prevents prostate cancer but this is not true. Other health benefits of neutering include the prevention of certain types of hernias and tumors of the testicles and anus. Excessive preputial discharge is also reduced by neutering.

| Trust me your baby will be just fine I think its actually much easier on male dogs, but i'm not sure why. My boy dog bounced back much faster than Abby. he slept for about 2 hours then was back to his normal self And he was only 4 months old Good luck to your little Winston! (that is such a cute name, by the way!)

| He'll be fine..When I got my male biewer, he was 5 1/2 mos and 4 1/2 lbs. I got him on a sunday, and he went in the following day for his neutering..he did fantastic...the vets know what they're doing...the main thing is that you have a vet that you trust 100%! |

| I was worried when Deiter went in also. But he did great. They (Vet) called me twice to let me know that he was doing great. Deiter had to stay and that was the first time away from me. But he did good. Was happy to see me the next day. I get to go thru this again next Wed Cozmo goes in. Everything will be ok. I was on YT alot while he was gone. That kept my mind off of not having Deiter. Everybody here is great support.

| It is difficult not to worry, but he will be fine. My first Samson was neutered at about the same age and I fretted until it was time to take him home. The first thing he did was hop up onto the sofa! |

| He'll be in my prayers! I'm sure he'll do fine! With my own dogs and my fosters the boys have always done a lot better than the girls as far as bouncing back quickly! Slade was done at 4 mnths/ 3ish lbs and he did great.
