Coco stopped pooping on the pad My 7mos old Yorkie was doing great pooping on the pad. But all of a sudden she stopped and now poops on the floor. She will sometimes try on the pad but mid way she will walk and poop several different areas. Any suggestions?

Has she peed on the pad, and you didn't put a new one down? Sometimes they dont like to pee or poop on the same pad. Also there is spray to help them come over to the pad.

Coco Thanks for the reply. This morning, Coco started barking to wake me. I noticed she pooped on the pad so I started celebrating. I changed the pad then right in front of me she started pooping on the floor. Again, she would walk and drop a little, then walk and drop more, etc. I sternly told her no, picked up the mess, put it on the pad and brought her to it and told her, "potty pad", which I have done everytime she messes.I will try the spray in hopes of it giving more success. I just don't know why she was doing great then all of a sudden she is messing up. She has been in heat for the past two weeks, could this have any reason for the mistakes?

Coco Coco is 7months. Sounds like Coco is doing the same thing as Dakota. I'm hoping after she is finished being in heat she will go back to using the pad again. She knows after she messed on the floor she has done wrong because when I call her she will go hide under the bed. My husband wants me to start training her to go outside but when I do take her out to play/walk, she has never made outside. So I don't know how that will work, but I will give it a try.

| That used to happen to Mr. Biggs all the time when I had him pad trained. He usually started out on the pad, but them mid poop he would end up off of it. I think it's just a small dog thing, because they strain to hard to poop that by the time they're done, they've moved around so much just to get it out.
