Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You poor thing! Does she have bully sticks or chewy things or a kong? Something that she could chew might work...

| Bella acts that way sometimes...and I can feel your frustration. I love her to death; but some days I just want her to be able to play alone. I find that if I feel REALLY REALLY sick sometimes i just lay the toys out in the living room...and barricade the room so she wont get out; or hurt herself. Then I make my way to my room and lay down for awhile. I also fill her kong up...but it depends on the day as to if she will play with that. Good luck!!

| First let me say I am so sorry your facing surgery. Hope all goes well which I am sure it will. I know it must be hard keeping your baby occupied when your flat on your back. Almost impossible if she's like Buddy. Always wanting attention. Do you have a bone with a hole that runs through the center? I stuff it with a piece of cheese really tight when I'm eating pizza and it keeps him from bothering me for a good 45mins He's so busy trying to suck out the cheese he leaves me alone while I enjoy my Pizza. Wishing you peace and a successful surgery and recovery. Hugs, |

| thanks guys! we throw around the idea of getting her a sister... one week we think we should.. another week we know we are too busy... i think next summer it will happen!!! Layla cannot have bully sticks as she gets a tad bit protective over them... and growls at me when i try and take them away.... she is currently napping on my lap.. thank god!! i just have to think of something for when she wakes up.. i think i'll fill up her kong and see if she will play with it on her own.. she normally doesn't but it is worth a try |

There are many things I don't give him because of this issue. The cheese bone was one however we worked on that. Now he will bring it to me but not release it just give me a low growl with his tail wagging but were getting there. As much as we love them they are still dogs I guess. |

| Marcie, sorry to hear you're feeling poorly, and hope all goes well with the surgery. As for the KONG...my other dogs loved the Kong when I filled it with their kibble instead of giving it to them at breakfast, then, wedge a doggie biscuit in it with a little peanut butter....lasts forever |

| I know exactly how you feel. I went through the same thing when I had surgery back in December. I was sick for a couple months before I had surgery, then I had a rough recovery. Jake wants to play ALL the time! Fortunately, he does know how to play good by himself, and I think that has to do with him being an only pup. But, there were times when he wanted me to play, and I barely could.....although I did it anyway lol One thing that really keeps him occupied for long periods of time are bully sticks and flossies. Jake is a big cuddler, so I could usually get him to settle down and lay with me. He was happy with that, as long as he was near me. Maybe Layla just wants to be close to you because she senses you're sick. I hope you feel better soon! Best of luck with your surgery! |

BANNED! | Teach her to play fetch!!! Grab as many of her toys as you can and lay down in bed and throw one at a time out the bedroom door. When she brings one back throw that one agin and perhaps she will start playing fetch. Thats an easy way to entertain them when you can't move much....Oh and I wish you the best with your Galbladder surgery. your having surgery on my birthday so I know you will be okay!!! |

| Oh Layla Layla Layla I swear her and Simon are soul mates I know exactly how you feel and I wish I had a great remedy but I really don't I'm sorry you are having surgery but I truly hope you will feel 100% better after. You can send Layla over here. I'll set her loose with Simon and maybe they can tire each other out. I'm still walking him 3 miles a day (while carrying Hallie) and he still wants to play most of the night. I like the idea of putting cheese in something, I think I'll try that. Maybe you could stuff her kong with cheese really packed in there so it takes her forever to get it out sneaky, but worth a try. |

| I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Good Luck with the surgery. As far as Layla, I agree with Yorkieluv, get her a sister. They will drive each other crazy and leave you alone (most of the time)
