| agility/therapy dog Chip is about 4 1/2 months old and I want to train him for something special. I know he won't be a show dog, but when I was reading the Yorkshire Terrier magazine, there were a couple articles on agility yorkies and therapy yorkies. I thought maybe he might be good with something like that. He's got a loving personality and loves to play and he also loooooooooooves to run and jump. Do any of you have dogs trained for those things? What type of personality traits to those dogs have? Where do I go to get him into this stuff?

| My Sammie is currently in training for Therapy work. I have plans to work her with children, as we have Texas Children's, MD Anderson and the Shriner Hospital in our area. She is going into her Advanced Class soon, and then we'll see if she passes her Good Citizenship Certification. Her trainer said that she would also be good at Free Style, as she loves to run and jump and dance. But I think we'll just continue to work on her Theraphy for now. Find a good trainer and at least go through a Basic class with her and have her evaluated to see what she might be good at. A good trainer can usually tell after seeing her in a Basic class. Keep me posted!
