| I am so PROUD of my Cooper!! Hey all, just had to share how proud I am of my Cooper-Bug!!! Cooper has been potty trained for a long while, he was easy to train and we just never had a problem with him. He goes outside. We got Carley at 6 months and she was pee pad trained, wasn't crazy about that and we have been slowly getting her to go outside only. She will occasionally still have a pee accident, no poo one in a long time. Well, when we first got Carley, my husband brought home a bell for the door and we tied it on. We ring it when we say "outside" and then out they go, they have never rung it, but they will go sit at the door and Cooper will occasionally whine if we don't see him to let us know. Well, today, I heard the bell ring, but figured they were just playing by the bell and ignored it, but then Cooper stared whining! Ya'll he RANG THAT BELL!! Is he not the smartest baby ever??? i am so PROUD of him!!!

| Delaina, we are doing the same thing and my hubby swears maggie is just playing with the bells. but she will ring them, then sit by the door waiting for you. and when you walk up, she starts pawing at the door. so i think she really is ringing it because she wants to go out. she doesn't always go out to potty...but sometimes she just wants to go play in the yard. but I think she is doing great. congrats on your cooper...that is a wonderful accomplishment for our babies. we have every reason to be proud.

| Sounds like Maggie "gets" it to me too, even if she just wants to go out and play, she still understands what the bell means and what happens when you ring it..the door gets opened. As for Carley ringing the bell, as long as she does all her business outside, I am a happy camper!!

| Hi, I am new to the forum, but it seems today was a good day to join because our 7 month old Yorkie Mia had her first successful toilet training day! Not one accident for the whole day. We hope this continues. Last edited by Stoepie; 01-21-2007 at 12:23 PM. Reason: spelling error |
