YT 500 Club Member | Izzy is afraid of midgets of every species... So, my 8.5 month old female is scared to death of dogs smaller than her, and small children. I'm talkin about mellow , calm, laid back kids that don't even pay attention to her, and teeny tiny minuscule 6 week old chihuahuas the size of her head. Our neighbor has the chihuahua, and Toby the Tyrant was playing with her when she caught sight of Izzy and started toward her. Well Izzy ran away from that little thing screaming like she was being mauled to death and ran straight for our other neighbors massive full grown pitt bull, Cocoa, and ran right between Cocoa's legs and curled up still screaming like a banshee. Cocoa just started stomping her front feet out and knocked that tiny little thing over and stayed hovering over Izzy protecting her from the dreaded midget chihuahua until it got distracted by toby and trotted off. It's the damnedest ( and scariest) thing that Izzy has only the slightest hesitation towards massive dogs that could wreck her, actually prefers them. She approaches slowly at first and then spazzes out licking their face and then drops down to a submissive pose on her back and lets them sniff her and then pops back up licking all over them. all in about 6 or 7 seconds. but a small human or smaller dog than her and shes cowering, screaming, running, or growling without hesitation. How weird is that? |

| I would really start working with her. That’s a behavior I would want to correct. No dog should ever be fearful- it will end up causing more issues in the long run. Please be careful when your female is close to the Pit Bull, yes, they may get along but at any moment the Pit Bull can snap out of nowhere and your baby would be gone. That’s a chance I wouldn't be willing to take. My friends Sister has a Yorkie Pom mix and she had a friend with a Pit Bull and of course she thought they were friends. Well one day the girl brought over her Pit Bull and the Yorkie Pom was running around with her and all of a sudden the Pit Bull snapped and ended up killing her dog. Not sure why she snapped, but she did and my friends Sister is just sick over it. So please be cautious and careful with your sweet girl. She is adorable. My Peanut has the same dark-ish brown ring around his nose as your girl!
