| Pad training My Neeko knows what his pee pad is. When he needs to pee he goes right to the pad and pops a squat. When he needs to doddie for some reason he will not go to the pad. He will poop in front of my door. If he knows to pee on the pad why won't he poop there. I will catch him squatting I tell him no he runs to the pad. But when I leave the room he poops in front of my door. Help please. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | How old is he ? I am guessing he is young. I would not have him have free run of the house until he masters the potty pad. Either get an expen or block off an area in the house ie kitchen . .

| some dogs don't like to pee and poop on the same pad. I would try two.I would also cover that spot in front of the door if its always the same place for now, like with something high he cant poo on. |

Is the door that your pup is pooping in front of a door to the outside? Could be that he wants to go outside. Try to supervise and limit his freedom as Verbena suggested so that he is near his pad around pooping time. Then praise him when he gets it right, and take care of it right away. For my boys, the immediate disposal part is really important to them. I think it is instinct that they don't want their poop around.
