| Puppy started pooping in crate Help! We have a 10week puppy who we purchased at 7wks 5days. He was doing great with potty training outside just initially did not like crate. He then had a run of diarrhea last week which is now resolved with only one accident in crate. His behavior in crate time has much improved with little crying or barking but he has been pooping in crate at night. We feed him around 11am 1/2 cup of iams puppy food and he usually doesn't poop until 7pm. We take him out every 2-3 hours and once between 1030-8am. Initially he pooped in crate between 11-3am the first two times so we got a new bed and made crate a little smaller. Last night he pooped outside twice before bedtime then again at 330 with no accidents in crate but tonight he took a large poop outside at 930, peeped at bedtime at 1030 but then pooped in crate at midnight. Help!!!! We can't seem to understand why he is doing this because he never did for the first two weeks even when he had diarrhea he only had one accident and held it rest of time. We give him praise when he goes outside and treats when he goes into house. We are going to take out bed and make crate even smaller but any other ideas? |

| my dog never cared if she pooped on the bed when we first got her, no matter how small the bed..It just took time. Your dog is very very young. Just tell her "uh oh no no" when u find it. Make a huge deal out of when she does it right. It could take awhile but it will eventually stop.. |
