need help with sisters I have 2 yorkie sisters we got them in Sep. they are almost 5 months old. I have trained many dogs including another yorkie I had years ago and trained norwegian elkhounds for show. Helpppp How do I train 2 pups at the same time to be potty trained. Started out side and potty pads. Now they shredd the potty pads just bought the washable kind and am waiting for them to get here. I have a fractured ankle and of course this stupid thing is getting in the way. My husband and I work all day. and today is the first day they didn't shred the pads. I just ordered some small crates and thought I would try to crate train them also. Right now they sleep in a little bed in a small doggy play pen with a potty pad in there. But beginning to think they don't like to go on the same pad. I have noticed during the day I put 2 pads in the bathroom with them and stools are on one and pee is on the other that is when they don't shred things up do bad. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My biggest challenge in pottie training was 3 male, poodle puppies. Im afraid I wont be much help. I set a timer and took them out EVERY hour, they were never left out unattended. Hopefully the washable pads will help. Hope your ankle will heal quickly.

Yorkies can be so stubborn with housetraining. With my last male I used the clicker method. Of course I crate him during the day while at work, come at lunch to let him and out again after work. As soon as he would pee or poop outside he would get 2 clicks and immediately be given a small treat. He caught on pretty quick. You have to start out with just getting them use to the clicker, by just clicking and giving treats so that they will associate the clicks with positive behavior. Have not any accidents in the house for about 4 months and he is almost a year old now (fingers crossed)
