| What age was your puppy "potty-trained"? Hey all, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread telling what age your yorkie was litter, paper, weewee pad, and housebroken. I think it would give alot of us with new puppies and first time puppies encouragement/hope about getting our little furbabies trained!!! Thanks in advance!

| Good idea. My little pup is 6 mos old and sometimes doing well, mostly not. My chihuahua is 2 and still has problems sometimes when excited. I had a 15 year old girl that passed recently and she was almost completely broken by 6 mos old. I know they are all different but winter is coming and it will only get worse if I don't get a handle on it. |

| I consider myself pretty lucky; I brought mine home at around 8 weeks and he was already doing it on paper. So far, he has never pee on the floor except poo once on my kitchen mat. I let him run freely in my kitchen and family room when I'm home and I've an X-pen where he stays there when we're not home and he pees on the newspaper. So, for a 13 weeks old puppy, he's pretty good. |

| I am extraordinarily lucky. I brought Trevor home at 8 weeks old. By the time he was 3 months, he was totally housebroken.... but I have a doggy door and older dogs to show him the ropes. He's had total run of the house for the last 9 months and has NEVER had an accident in the house. Cyndie Trevor's Mom |

| Housebroken? Potty trained? What do those words mean? He's going to be ONE in 3 weeks.

| Tinkerbell is about 9 months old. I consider her potty trained but wouldn't trust her with the run of the house yet. |

| Toby is 3 months on Sunday. He goes outside most of the time, but sometimes he has accidents. He was going on the weewee pad when I would forget to let him out, but I think he was getting the hint that he was supposed to go outside, and started going potty by the door. So I moved the weewee pad by the door, and he started going where his weewee pad used to be...????? I keep him in a crate all day while we are at work, and leave him out at night (he sleeps with us). He was doing good and able to hold it for like 7 hours, but Tues. he peed in there. I know this is too long to leave him in there, but have exhausted all other options. Plus I started putting water in there with him, which I think hindered more than it helped. He is left in his crate for 7 hours 3 days a week.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Magic was fully trained at about 5-6 months...she learned to go outside really quickly and was allowed in the whole house by 4 months...she now only has accidents on rainy days!! Sailor was a little harder...she was probably full trained at 8 months but still has accidents sometimes....but now she goes outside most of the time and that has really helped... We still have two pee pads down, one by each door..and they still use them but they no longer have accidents on the floor at all!!

| Potty Trained....what that?? No Bailey is really good,,but every now and then I find a #2 present,,but I'd rather have those anyday,,than #1... ... Usually it is MY fault when we have these accidents,, so I take the blame.

| Bella is seven months old. If it isn't raining then she is potty trained. If its raining well.... she is at work with me today and tickled at my feet on the plastic that my chair rolls on.

| Lilly is 8 weeks and only goes potty on her pee pee pads, she goes poop there also SO I feel lucky but if she isn't around her pad she will have an accident if we arn't watching her completely, which doesn't happen much. I have only had her for 1 week and cant believe how well she is doing. I am hoping to train her to use the pads outside on my deck so I can have my guest bathroom back lol. |

| Potty Trained? Yeah RIGHT.... Lexi is 8 months old, just turned this week and we are still haveing problems. We travel ALOT; "military family" when we are on the road and in hotels she does great, no accidents at all when we were on the road for 10 days but once we get back into a routine accidents start again. #1 is not as common as #2. We can go weeks with no #1 accidents but #2 i find all over every day....i have no clue when she does it either; I can't catch her in the act. My mother says she needs her privacy(Ha ha) WHO KNEW yorkies are #2 shy. So anyway, she is 8 months and we are still trying.

| When we picked up Yoda at 1 day before 8 weeks he was going potty on the wee wee pads and has continued to do so... He only had a FEW accidents when he was younger...He prefers to go on wee wee pads, but will also go outside
