| Crating a new puppy w/ one puppy already crate trained Me again... Sorry for all the training posts. I didn't realize I would have so many questions about raising two puppies. Anyways, here it goes...thanks in advance for all you help! I'm trying to crate train my new puppy, the same way I did for my older puppy. The problem is, when I crate him, he cries because he sees my older puppy isn't in a crate. My older puppy would come up to his crate and sniff him and make contact. I think this upsets my new puppy. My older puppy is already housebroken and he earned my trust to walk freely. It took him a good 3-4 months of crate training! I don't want to crate my older puppy so my new puppy won't cry. I thought about crating my new puppy and putting him in another room, but I want him to be able to see me so he can feel a little comforted. What do you all suggest?
