Okay guys,

I haven't posted in a while b/c we are doing ok on the potty training as he's getting older. I decided to pee pad train Jackson b/c we moved furthur from my job and I couldnt come home on lunch to let him out and he is doing pretty good hitting the pads thru out the day. But I really do prefer him to go outside and would like to train him to go out when we are home. Is it possible that this could happen? If so could someone please give me advise on the best way to do it. Jackson is pretty smart and pick up on things pretty fast so I think he can do it but I would like to hear everyone elses thoughts.

JoJo does both. He prefers the pads though. We will be going outside more when the weather is warmer. He is a pretty smart little fella. At night, before going to bed, I tell him "Mama needs for you to tee-tee on your pad." He goes to his pad and uses it. Good luck and hope he won't get too confused.

I use a clicker for Chloe. Since your voice can change tones, she could get confused if I told her to go to the bathroom or something along those lines. When I open the door, I show her the clicker and she knows to use the bathroom outside. When she does her business, she gets a click and a treat and back inside. It has worked very well. Another thing I am about to start working on with her is her bell. I have read many discussions about hanging a small bell on the door so your baby can let you know when they need to go outside. If you ring the bell everytime you go outside, they will catch on and begin pawing the bell to let you know they need to go out.

Annie uses the pads. I would imagine that you could do both,but quite honestly, since we started using the pads I wouldn't have it any other way. It sure is nice when it's 11 o'clock and snowing or raining to just go into the kitchen, point at the pad, let her do her business and then go to bed.
