| ![]() Hi! ![]() ![]() ![]() I was born and raised in the Indianapolis area. Miss it, beautiful country, but not the winters!! That's why I'm in Texas now. ![]() At 5 months old she is still figuring things out. Just continue to be consistent, really praise her when she uses the pads. I have the treat jar next to our wee-wee pads and give a reward as soon as they use the pad. Take treats outside with you so that as soon as she pottys you can reward her. Timing is everything. With mine what I do when I find an accident is say, in my best Mommy voice, "Who pottied in the house? tsk-tsk-tsk, Momma is soooo disappointed." The guilty one is usually the one then slinking out of the room. I get everyone to go outside and everyone potties...or pretends to potty, ![]() Annie had trouble grasping the concept of her whole body needing to be on the pad. She'd go and stand with her front feet on the pad, facing the pad, but her bum was off on the floor. Sometimes she'd get completely on, sometimes...not so much. But her heart was there to do the right thing so I couldn't get too mad at her. If I saw her going to the pad I'd follow and coax her to get onto the whole pad. Just keep working with her, she'll get it.

| ![]() My baby turns 5 months this Sunday. I too am struggling with her going pee and poo in the house. She will go outside, providing we get her there. Here's the thing. She can sit, lay down, sping to the left, twirl to the right and she can dance. But SHE CAN NOT FIND THE DOOR TO GO OUTSIDE! She'll walk right past it to go into the living room to pee. Thank goodness we've picked up on her "puppy dance". But she still sneaks it in on us. We find the little yellow spots every Saturday when we do our cleaning. She is better though than last month and hoping that next month at this time she is even better. I've been told this is challenging for them, so together we'll both be as patient as possible. Crate training helps. She never goes in her crate. Good luck to us both! |
