| Question on washable pee pads Is it better to use these rather than the disposables? Do the babies like to use these better? Or do people generally just use them because its cheaper than buying the throw away kind? I am thinking of purchasing, but I am not sure if they will be worth it. How do you wash them? Honestly I dont feel its very sanitary to put them in the washer i use for my clothes, do you rinse them first? |

| i like them because I have six adults and usually a litter of puppies. The paper ones to them are just play things. I do feel that the paper ones are easier to potty train young puppies on. I do not rinse mine. There is no diaper pail smell at all and I do wash them in my washer with a ton of BLEACH. Then when I get them out, I run a rinse cycle with nothing but soap and bleach in the washer. |

| I've been using the washables for a few months now, and love them! I've got 5 babies and use 2 everyday. I wash them 4 at a time in hot water and put on the deck to dry, or dry them on low heat with no dryer sheet. Lil Bit, Nancy, does a great job on them and I would highly recommend her.

| Yep, I got mine from her and I and my pups love them and wash them in the washer! They are much more absorbent than the best disposables I have tried.

| I started using them after I had been using the paper ones, so my pups already knew what area they were supposed to go. They are bigger and cover a wider area as well.

| I think that would work. I still keep the disposable kind for when we travel and Tbone knows that he can use either kind. I like having the nicer ones at home and not taking them when we travel.

| That's good to know. Gizmo uses pee pads as well, so your babies should have no problem when they stay with us.

| I've got diapers too for when they are in areas with nice floors I just can't trust them to automatically know where to go when they aren't in our little apartment!
