| I found my first carrier on sale at Petco for $22. It was just a simple black one, but it did the trick. It looked like a purse so no one knew Holly was in there. You could just keep checking the sale section of the pet stores or you can look on ebay or craigslist. I hope you find what you're looking for! |

| International Pup Carrier I use the International Pup Carrier from dog.com and so do my parents. It was our first bags. Both Yorkies ride comfortably and discreetly inside there own bags and it doesn't cramp our styles. lol My dad even carriers their dog around inside of it. Sydney's is green and Ginger's is red. We both now also have backpacks (under $30), which are great for going hands-free. Let me know what you think about the Pup Carrier. Last edited by Kirby; 05-27-2010 at 03:01 PM. | LOVE the International Pup Carrier! I got Kasha the personalized one in Pink! It starts to squish after a while (and kinda cave in) but I have people gush over my "Louie" all the time. And nobody knows she in there. Kasha just rests and checks everyone out. I really recommend it for a 1st bag!

| Please know that if you choose to purchase a "knock off" bag you will very likely be supporting organized crime. It's offensive to suggest anyone should partake in this kind of activity...imho.

| pet purses I have a few purchased carriers, but most for sale in the pet stores here obviously look like dog carriers.....heads easily poke out, or they have paw prints or bone patterns on the outside. I am not a crafty person, but I have taken to searching the thrift stores for the perfect purse that will hold little Annie and have outside pouches to hold cellphone and wallet, so I don't have to "let the dog out of the bag" when I go to pay for items. I cut a panel or panels out of the side or/and ends of the purses, then hand stitch in mesh so it is Annie friendly. I started doing this 13 years ago when I got my first Yorkie (Meggie) and could not find a carrier for her. My vet loves my collection of dog purses and at first didn't believe I had converted them from regular purses. |

| Celltei Celltei carriers are really cool. So many awesome features and I LOVE mine. However, they are really expensive (but if you are willing to pay, you can even get them custom made, which is cool!) I am totally cheap, so I didn't want to spend so much. I got mine off eBay and it was around $35 shipped! I know the same bag retailed for around $140. The one I got honestly looks like brand new and like it had hardly been used, if at all. A lot of time there will be people selling their Celltei bags on there saying, "I bought this bag before my dog stopped growing and now they are too big to fit! I only used it a couple of times!" Also, the company has a section on their website where people can post classifieds of their bags if they want to re-sell. Check out this bag they have in clearance for $57 right now...really good price, I think. It's a size small...check their site for dimensions and see if it will fit your dog. I have the same style (pack-o-pet), but different color/material. My dog seems fairly comfortable in it...he flew to and from Canada in it and behaved himself fairly well....but I did make him "practice" a lot first! |
