Need help with 6year old Yorkie, newly re-homed and doing the toilet in the house. Also scraching all the walls.

I wrote a thread about housebreaking. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ebreaking.html. I've linked a site that gives step by step program for training your dog. After you read about it and understand some of the basics, let us know if you have any particular questions. Not sure why the scratching of wall, are his nails bothering him, do they need cutting. I read once that a dog was scratching walls because there were rats in the walls, lol, remember yorkies use to be ratters. Could be scratching the walls because he wants out?

How long have you had him? He will need time to adjust. Probably scared out of his wits. Just keep working with him.
