| contract problem I need info please if you can help. I had our female bred at what I though was reputable breeder. She said what a good christian woman she was and I thought everything was good. I am really new to breeding Yorkie and I am wanting to show. Not make $$$$. Her contract says she get a puppy and that would be fine except. Now that I use her stud and just 2 week before my puppie whelped she started telling me horror stories (very very bad) I will not get into it. But she has poor whelping practices I really do not want her to have a puppy. She has agree to not breed the puppy to sell her is there any I can make sure this puppy will not be used for breeding? I doing limited registration. I hate for her to have our line. I have screwed up so much I have beat myself up for every taking my baby down there. I just did not know I have learned alot. Her contrat say 450. if we only had one puppy but she say if dont want to give her a puppy she want $1200. |

| I would guess that if she's willing to accept a pup on limited registration that she intends to sell it. Apparently she feels she can get around $1200. for the pup. You'll have to work things out with her for without her permission you can't get the litter registered. You may just have to take this one on the chin. We all make mistakes when we are starting out, just learn from them and do your best to move on with more insight.

If you are really concern about her breeding practices and don't trust her giving her one of your puppies , then I wouldn't . I would give her the 1,200 and that would give me peace of mind and placing the puppy with a family of my choice . 1,200 sounds a lot but it will be the same you can give her that instead of the puppy then you sell this puppy for that amount. | |

| If I read your post right... the contract states $450. That is all you have to "legally" give her. If the $1200 is NOT on the contract... I don't think you HAVE to give her that. Hope all works out.

| I understand yor post like this: $450 fee if your female only have one baby but if she has more than one than it is a puppy or $1,200 fee , is this correct? are you expecting more than one puppy ? |

| You've posted this before, so I'm guessing you still haven't worked anything out with this woman. My advice to you is to sell one of your puppies for $1200 to a couple of your choosing, and then just give the woman the $1200. That way she gets her money, and the puppy goes to a good home. Hope everything works out!

| This is what I was thinking. Also, if you HAVE to give her a puppy, I'd have it spayed/neutered BEFORE I gave it to her (to ensure that she does not breed it).

| contract say 450 if one living puppy nothing else about any money just that she get a puppy she is being very gracious at this point and says she will take which ever puppy or 1200 and is not going to breed the puppy. I just want to be sure that is what is done. And I wondered if I could just sell the puppy myself and then let her have the mone? Several people have said to do that just wonder if anyone else has been in the situation. I dont want to be a poop I just want my baby to be safe and I know I have no way of know what will happen to them if I sell to someone I dont know but these babie are most likely only going to barely make it to 4lbs if that. Thanks for all the advice and not beating me up to bad. I already have done that on my own again thank you so much. |

| I'd give her the $1200, and sell my pup to someone I know would take care of it. You don't want her making your pup into a breeding machine.

| You could have the puppy spayed at 12 to 14 weeks old before giving it to her. |

BANNED! | Either give her the $1200.00 (no puppy) or have the puppy spayed before giving it to her. IMO those are the only 2 ways to protect your lines. Trust your own instincts when dealing with people "If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is"!! |

| problem GIVE HER THE $1200....you have learned a costly lesson..but give her the money, keep your puppy...I realize she has cheated you, but consider it money well spent..!!! I walked away from a $3000 deal once and have never regretted it...money is money, comes and goes, our puppies are forever on our consicence. PS..Do not spay the pup, she will sue you. |
