| ![]() I am in Southern Indiana and have a new young stud who is eager...no VERY EAGER, to meet an eligable young lady. He enjoys playing, wrestling and cuddling. He loves to give very passionate kisses. He is seeking a silky, blue and tan young lady to love and make puppies with. He is 4 pounds flat, AKC registered, has had good blood tests and exams, had a 3.5 pound daddy and a 6 pound mom. His color is coming along great and hair is silky. I am planning on showing him and he has CH. in his bloodline. As it will be his first time, we are looking for someone close who will be patient and allow him a couple of tries if he needs them. Please PM me if you are in the Southern Indiana-ish area and are interested so we can exchange pix and information.

| ![]() My advise is show him first and prove him. Be very careful as to whom you stud him out to. Remember that his name will be on the pups pedigree and if they are of poor quality it will reflect badly on him. Good luck, most breeders who own good quality show bitches already have a stud as well as a plan for their line.

| ![]() i just tried studding my dog out and the bitch stayed here what a night mare once was enough for me i will just use my own girls from now on lessoned learned i would finish the boy first and formost and find a good female of your own to breed to it is safer and less stressful for all i agree with all post on this subject ![]() |

| ![]() You know my first champion has great bloodlines goes back to This Time, Pastoral but you know he wasn't structurely what I wanted in my lines nor his color he went way too light although I LOVE HIM DEARLY I had him neutered so as to studding out your dog...show first, let him grow and study pedigrees and in my opinion neuter him if you don't plan to show him. | ![]() Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this your 8 month old male, Sir Ed, that you are trying to stud out? ![]() The same one that was discussed in this thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...75#post1264975 |

| ![]() Fortunately, no one has been too cruel. Of course I won't breed him to just any dog. I certainly plan on showing him and getting his conformation. I am currently seeking a show mentor too, but have been going to shows and observing, doing lots of reading, and working with Edward on stacking and walking on a show lead. We are going to go through Evansville Obedience club for conformation classes very soon. I probably shouldn't have posted that...and sort of regreted it after I did, as I wondered if it was allowed, but I figured, if you can sell dogs, why not the dog's services. I put no $$ or information, not even any pictures. I guess I am mostly looking to see who is even out there. I would get my own girl to breed him to, but already have three dogs and don't think the rest of the family would go for it right now. I don't want to be a big-time breeder and don't want to offend those who are, I think I have just gotten lucky with this boy on being a good one think he will make good conforming Yorkies. He is probably not going to win Eukanuba or anything, but he is a good example, especially compared to some I've seen that are out there studding. He may only produce pet-quality, but at least they will be good, conforming pets that actually resemble the beauty that is the Yorkie breed. If he ends up showing well, I will of course become MUCH more restrictive on his mates. In the mean time, we are not in a big hurry, just sort of looking for what's out there, as I said before.

| ![]() I am sure that one day he will make a perfect little stud muffin, but if he is only 8 months old, he is waaaaay too young. At this point, he will not have even developed his final, adult qualities--how do you know if he even should be bred? ![]() I'm sure he will have the ladies lining up in no time though...especially if he has success in the show ring as you anticipate. It certainly sounds as if you are headed in the right direction with him. ![]() |
