| Zoe update Well Zoe had her puppies early Thursday morning.Luckily she did ok having them because thats when I was at the ER with Blake. But then last night she started panting and I felt something hard in her belly so I called the vet and she thought maybe it was just her uterus shrinking back to its original size but she said if she starts pushing to call her back well after I talked to her Zoe seemed to be doing better. Then about 2:00pm today I was checking on her and the puppies,I noticed she was pushing. So I ended up taking her to the vet and they did an x-ray and thought they saw two more puppies in there. So they gave her a shot and she started pushing him out but he was stuck and when the vet tried to help her his hair came right off of him.She even tried repostioning the puppy but nothing so she had to have a c-section to get him out. After she opened Zoe up there was only that one puppy in there and he was huge. His front feet was coming out and his head was stuck in the birth canal, like he was looking up at the ceiling. She said morr or less he was rotten inside of her and had been dead for a long time. While shehad her opened up I went ahead and had her spayed.I felt so sorry for her. With her last litter she had one that was born dead also so I thought this would be best for her.She is now still really groggy but the puppies are nursing and doing well. The vet said he should feel a little better in the morning. She just got home around 8:00 tonight.

| I'm so sorry about the big pup. We had this happen when I was a kid, we bred poms. I still remember so clearly the pups being born in the wee hours and the last huge pup being born late in the evening. Taffy tryed so hard to get her pup going, my Dad gave it mouth to mouth but it had been dead too long. She gave up after that and one by one pushed each pup away. We had her spayed and quit breeding. I hope your mom recovers beautifully and your pups flourish.
