| How Far Apart Should Pups Be Born?? Lex just delivered her first pup about an hour ago....how long of a time should there be in between puppies?? Please answer soon....I'm getting worried!!! Thanks!! |

| Depends. If she is in heavy labor for over thrity minutes with no pup, i get worried and call the vet. but, if she is just resting for awhile between pups with no heavy labor, I had one girl go an hour just resting then she got down to business again. she had all five of hers in about three and a half hours. Congratulations on the first. keep us updated. |

| They can rest for a quite a while. Two hours is fine (to me) If she's doing fine, I'm doing fine. But after that I'm walking her and ready to get the show on the road. If she's in hard labor, it can take an hour but hopefully only for the first puppy. |

| they can go 4 hours but if you are getting to the 3 1/2 hr mark, i would start packing for the vets. if she is in hard labor, you never go past 2hrs. good luck to you i hope all is well
