| U can FEEL another one in her belly??? I'd get her to a vet NOW!!! I've had 1 litter so far & expecting our 2nd later this month and if my Tiffanie hadn't had one in like an hour and was acting like she was having contractions I'd take her to our vet. There are more experienced breeders here that can FOR SURE answer U're question but I myself with my girl would say/feel NO NO It's not normal for her to have another pup after 8 hours after having her last baby!!!!!!!! U need to CALL And TAKE HER IN TO U'RE VET NOW!!!!!!!! Hope all turns out okay, please let us know. Hugs, Lee, Teddy, Tiffanie and Sir. Galahad |

If I were you, I'd get her to the vet pronto...!!! Again, I'm no expert, but at the University hospital, they told me that ONE hour is the deadline. No baby after an hour, you have to bring her in...!

Hello again, I was thinking about the hour waiting before taking U're babies to the vet between puppies and I came close with Tiffanies last babies, Princess Isabella was born at 3:51 pm and then here came Princess Arimathea @ 4:44 pm...JUST about 1 hour apart liking 7 minutes!!!!!! So I will watch her closer this time. But she wasn't straining the whole time to have her, it was just like within a few minutes of her coming out. But they all was healthy and still are! Just amazing how they can come that close to one hour and then here comes the baby. Hugs, Lee

| I spoke w/ the vet & she thinks the lump is the uterous sometimes contracting when the baby is nursing. She wants me to keep a close eye on her & if she shows no sign of labor she should be fine. Mom is doing great acting as if everything is normal & she is totally in love w/ that little boy. Thanks to you for caring! Will update you all later. |

| WE had puppies last nite (well, i feel like WE, Tessa did all the work!) *s* According to my calculations on Day 59, but all 5 kids are healthy and happy, eating well and Momma doing good. avg weights between 3.7 and 4.4 oz, she was HUGE. Tessa-Marie usually weighs just under 6 lbs so this was a large burden for her... I am so proud of her - she did a great job!!!! Wanted to give her kudos. = ) I would upload pics, but need to figure out why my "file" is too large.... Last edited by sandybobb; 06-03-2008 at 06:58 PM. |

You would have to get a ultrasound anytime now or a x-ray the last week to tell. SOmetimes they canont feel them at 6 weeks. palpating them at 30 days would of given your vet a rough idea if she was. Just because he or she could not feel them does not mean she isnt, but she could also be having a false pregnancy.

| Yup she's a Maltese. I made a promise to let her hair grow out in a full coat as soon as she has her pups.I'll only shave her belly so her nipples are clear of any hair. If you see her in person you'd think she was about 4- 4.5 lbs at the most. But she's solid muscle and no flab anywhere...yet Genie Last edited by Cookie2; 06-18-2008 at 09:03 AM. Reason: spelling |
