| What can I do to report a breeder? Hi. I recently purchased a yorkie from www.kramhaus.com in Clerver, MO near Nixa, MO. When we arrived at her house she had 5-6 small dogs in her house going to the bathroom and then licking it up. She was not concerned about cleaning it up, even when we brought it to her attention. She brought the puppy we purchased out from a back room she would not allow us to go in. She said we could make her puppies sick. I saw cages stacked up when she had the door partially open. Our puppy (Braxton) had feces and urine matted in his hair. When we left Braxton immediately got very sick. He was vomitting and had a lot of blood in his feces. We took him to a vet in the morning. He had the highest amount of parasites (cysts) of Giardia the test checked for. He also has a bladder infection (we're hoping that's not something more). When I called Diana Kram to tell her about what had happened she accused us of causing the dog so much stress and that this is what caused the Giardia. Our vet told us Giardia is a very contangious parasite so we also had a our other yorkie, Bella, tested and treated. Bella's test results came back negative but we treated her anyway. The breeder has been terrible to us. I'm considering taking her to court for the vet bills we incurred immediately after purchasing him. However, my main concern is for the other puppies she has at her kennel. Her unsanitary conditions are dangerous. If anyone has any ideas on what I can do please let me know. |

| I looked at their site and they have a lot of dog breeds for sale. This looks more like a puppymill operation to me. I would contact my local animal control and file a report. One of my girlfriends work for the Sheriffs dept here and they do alot of investigating animal abuse cases...sick people out there ...I made her promise to quit telling me those stories. Call your vets office and ask them who you can file a report with. There is a lemon law in most states that breeders have to pay vet bills for a sick puppy. You took your puppy the next day to your vets and have documented proof you bought a sick puppy. Good Luck..it is a lot of work to get to the right person...I would start asking around...I am sure there are others with sick puppies from this breeder.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ugh that is disgusting. Number 2 of her purchaing contract states: "(2) As of the date of this agreement, the dog or puppy is in good health and free from any communicable diseases." Which is not true. Therefore she should have to pay for hte vet bills. that is the closest thing i can find to a contract on her site, unless she gave you something else when you picked up the puppy. She is running a mill and it should be stopped. i hope someone on here can give you more information for reporting her. Can you report her to the AKC? would they do anything?

| Hi Mardelin, Thanks for your reply. The reason I didn't walk away is because I didn't know the signs of a puppy mill, in fact before this I didn't even know what a puppy mill was. I thought the puppy would be fine after I got him home and gave him a bath. The breeder kept saying things like, "I stand behind my dogs." I also felt really bad for the little puppy and wanted him to have a good home. I basically just wanted to save him from her. I just don't want anyone else to have to go through this. Thanks again for the reply. |

| Hi I'm sorry that your puppy was sick, we went through that with our puppy Luna, and it's so scary and sad Luna came from a pet store (therefore, she too is a puppy mill pup), so believe me, I know exactly why you had to get that little one outta there I wish we could save them all. We cannot, unfortnately, but we can do everything possible to educate other consumers and pet lovers, and to report these people enough so that they get shut down! Hugs to you, I hope that Braxton is feeling much better now

someone needs to speak up if it's as bad as you say. Please do....there are agencies that will make a housecall over a complaint and she won't know it's you - Also - report her to the BBB. It takes work but it's so worth it if you can help the dogs that are living in those kinds of conditions. Don't let up & GOOD LUCK !! I hope your puppy feels better | |
